Marathon for Everyone: Two Options, One Spirit
"Marathon Pour Tous" is for everyone, not just experienced runners! Choose between two options. The first is a challenging 42.195 km – the real deal, just like the Paris Olympic Marathon. If you're 20 or older by December 31, 2024, it's your chance to explore historic spots like Boulogne-Billancourt and Versailles, starting at 9 pm with 20,024 spots available.
If the full marathon seems too much (totally fine!), there's a 10 km route for those aged 16 and above by December 31st, 2024. Starting at Paris City Hall at 11:30 pm, it winds through central Paris, passing by monuments like the Eiffel Tower. The 10 km route is also accessible to anyone with a disability.
How to Join the Marathon Pour Tous?
Go to the "Club Paris 2024" website by clicking here, and sign up. Once done, earn points for a chance to join the Marathon or the 10 km event. The goal is to get at least 100,000 points before 2024. Connect to the "Marathon pour tous" app, track your activities to earn points. Playing games on the "Club Paris 2024" website can also score you points.
You can also follow @teamorangerunning on Instagram. Sports fans can join a runner's community and take part in contests to win a spot in the marathon or 10 km race.
A Historic Route and Night of Celebration
The route is historically significant because it commemorates the "Women's March on Versailles," a pivotal moment during the French Revolution when thousands of women marched to the Versailles palace.
For Spectators and Enthusiasts
Even if you don't run, there's something for you! Fan zones along the route are ready for you to cheer.
In the spirit of unity and celebration, "Marathon Pour Tous" is Paris 2024's way of saying, "Everyone's invited!" It's set to be a joyful night, celebrating sports and community – whether you're running or cheering. 🌟🏃♀️🏃♂️
